Trivia Crack Apple Watch

The Apple Watch is here! The screen might be small, but that hasn’t stopped enterprising game-makers from figuring out how to make video games for it. After all, if it has a screen and you can interact with it, it can be a game console. Below are 11 games with special Apple Watch functions, and even a couple Apple Watch exclusives we can't wait to get our hands on.

Snappy Word

Piggy-backing on the popularity of word games like Scrabble, Words with Friends, and Boggle, Snappy Word approaches the genre with a simpler design.

Four random letters are displayed on your Apple Watch and you have 30 seconds to make as many words as you can. Leaderboards and challenges (asynchronous or head-to-head) exist to help make you feel like a better wordsmith than your friends. And the best of all: it’s free. Protip: coming up with those four-letter words your mother would gasp at is only fun the first time.

Watch Quest

WayForward's Watch Quest is another Apple Watch exclusive, like Runeblade, but this one uses both your iPhone and Apple Watch to control the adventure.

The iPhone portion of the game houses your kingdom, letting you pick heroes to send on quests. Those quests take place on your Apple Watch, where you can select a passive or active approach. Passive quests do most of the work for you, while active ones ask you to help solve puzzles and battle monsters on the go.

Watch Quest's adjustable gameplay makes its cross-platform structure not just a creative gimmick, but a useful one.

Watch this Homerun

Trivia Crack Apple Watch

It’s a real-life homerun derby on your wrist. The only thing missing is constant mentions of Century 21 and the aura of performance enhancing drugs. By timing the pitch speed and location, simply tap your screen and, if you’re good enough, watch the ball sail away. In no time you’ll be making the AI feel like the Milwaukee Brewers pitching staff.

Runeblade

The best thing about Everywear Games’ first title is that the studio understands that players aren’t going to spend hours hunched over their wrist playing an RPG. With Runeblade, your sessions are cut into small snippets that last less than 30 seconds.

Got a couple minutes in between meetings? Fight a rat. Stopping off in the bathroom to ... fix your hair? Lay waste to a goblin. There’s no requirement for heavy investment beyond small, quick grabs at your attention, all of which are the key to Runeblade’s core gameplay.

Cana Crack Apple Watch Face Be Replaced

Walkr

Walkr allows you to build and develop your own personal galaxy by spending 'walking energy' you earn by taking steps in the real world. It's half fitness app, half video game. Walkr's Apple Watch integration lets you control planets, receive notifications, and more.

Trivia Crack

There’s no escaping this Trivial Pursuit clone, so why wouldn’t it come to Apple Watch? Formatted so the entire game can be played without touching your iPhone, it even includes notifications, ensuring that you never have to deal with that annoying message asking, “Are you going to take your turn or not?” Arguably the most popular game on iOS, Trivia Crack is taking advantage of the new device and ensures that you can’t quit, no matter how many people show up at the intervention.

FIFA Ultimate Team

Soccer fan or not, there’s no denying the fanatic following that EA’s FIFA franchise has, and with their free-to-play Ultimate Team available on iOS, players there are as rabid as the ones on console. While you won’t be playing a football match on your wrist (yet), the newest update allows for managers to track their team. No more awkward pauses in the board room as you check to see if your latest trade has gone through - now just a quick glance will confirm whether you’ve shipped off your pretty-boy goalie, or if you’re stuck with him.

Hatchi

Trivia Crack Apple Watch 2

You remember Tamagotchi and how it helped you learn responsibility far more than carrying around bags of flour for your health class, don’t you? With Hatchi, you can revisit those digital darlings, ensuring they’re fed and bathed on time.

And because it’s on your wrist, you’ll never forget about it at the bottom of your backpack for three days while it starves to death in what could only be described as the most traumatic event of your young teenage life. I’M SO SORRY! SO, SO SORRY! I WON’T FORGET YOU AGAIN LITTLE BUDDY, I PROMISE! Ahem. It, uh, seems like it would be neat.

Letterpad

It’s another word game, yes, but this is a little more structured than Snappy Word. Using a clue, you’ll be required to make words from a 3x3 grid of letters that pertain to said clue.

If the 200 included puzzles aren’t enough for you, the community can even make their own, which increases the content exponentially. Letterpad is a free download and another gem that doesn’t require enormous time dedication to enjoy.

Spy_Watch

You know damned well you’re buying the Apple Watch for 1 of 2 reasons: either you buy everything Apple puts out or, you want to feel like James Bond.

Watch Series 4

If it’s the latter, Spy_Watch is probably for you. It’s launching alongside the Apple Watch today, so the exact gameplay elements are a bit of a mystery, but what we know is that it will use text-based notifications to deliver assignments and story elements and has been dubbed a “background game”. There’s even an upgrade system that will see your spy level increase over time.

#OX

You don’t have to get all “wordsy” about Tic-Tac-Toe on your wrist. It’s free, and it includes multiplayer. Say no more.

It’s Apple Watch release day, so for now, the stable of games available on the hardware is slim, but don’t expect it to stay that way for long. And even in spite of the inevitable torrent of titles that will be available in the future, these ones show promise and staying power thanks to their focus on quick, sporadic gameplay and ingenuity.
